Digital printing is a method of printing in which digital images such as those from a computer or digital camera which are used to create a printed image. This is in contrast to traditional printing methods such as offset printing, in which a printing plate is used to transfer ink to paper. Digital printing is often used for short-run printing such as for brochures or business cards and can also be used for on-demand printing, such as for printing photos or personalized products. Some examples of digital printing technology include inkjet and laser printing.
